Water quality warnings issued for more than 10 Los Angeles County beaches

As temperatures continue to rise, some water quality warnings go up at L.A. County beaches

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is urging people to stay out of the water at more than 10 beaches after bacteria levels failed to meet health standards when last tested.

The locations affected include the entire swim areas of Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey, Las Flores Creek at Las Flores State Beach and Walnut Creek at Paradise Cove in Malibu, and Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro.

Warnings have also been issued in Malibu for the Marie Canyon Storm Drain at Puerco Beach, Ramirez Creek at Paradise Cove, Topanga Canyon Beach, Solstice Creek at Dan Blocker County Beach and Pena Creek at Las Tunas County Beach; and in Santa Monica at the Santa Monica Pier.

For a full list of the affected beach locations and to find further information, call the county's beach closure hotline at 1-800-525-5662 or visit PublicHealth.LACounty.gov/Beach/.
