WATCH: Jazz Player Slaps Lakers' Roy Hibbert Across Face During Preseason
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Lakers newly-acquired center Roy Hibbert was slapped in the face during the Lakers preseason game on Tuesday.
Jazz forward Trevor Booker slapped Hibbert across the face after the 7-footer walked towards Booker and got in his face after Booker and Lakers forward Julius Randle got tangled up after a screen.
Hibbert is seen walking towards Booker before looking shocked and getting slapped across the face.
After the slap, Booker received two technical fouls and was ejected from the game, while Hibbert earned himself a technical foul for getting in Booker's face.
Hibbert could also be seen smiling moments after being slapped in the face.
Hibbert called Randle the "face of the franchise" and later said that no matter who it was, he would have had his teammates back in that situation.

Hibbert has a history of stepping up for his teammates during games, and has never been afraid to mix it up with opposing players.

The NBA has suspended Booker for 1 game as a result of the incident.
He will miss the Jazz' season opener against the Pistons on Oct. 28th
