Violent two-car crash leaves three hospitalized in North Hollywood

Three people were hospitalized after a violent two-car crash in North Hollywood early Sunday evening. 

The crash happened at the intersection of Oxnard Street and Fair Avenue at around 6:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. 

They arrived and found that one of the passengers was trapped inside of their car. Firefighters quickly removed the person from the vehicle, a four-door sedan, before transporting them to a hospital. 

Two of the patients were said to be in critical condition while the third was in serious condition, LAFD said. 

None have yet been identified. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. 

SkyCal flew over the scene of the collision, where two severely damaged vehicles could be seen dozens of yards away from one another. Multiple police patrol cars and fire engines could be seen as crews worked the incident.
