Clip Of Woman Confronting Starbucks Barista Who She Alleges Stole Her Credit-Card Information Goes Viral

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Video of a woman confronting a cashier at a Southland Starbucks store who she alleges stole her credit-card information has gone viral and authorities say they're investigating.

The woman is seen in the clip driving up to the drive-through lane of the coffee shop in the 17200 block of Lakewood Boulevard in Bellflower.

After she's handed her drink, the woman says:

"So, we got you on camera yesterday at Ralphs for $212, so just know that the cops are coming up here."

The woman goes on to explain that a copy of her card was taken on New Year's Day.

"You know what you did," she said. "Right? You know what you did, right?"

The unidentified girl replies: "I'm so sorry, ma'am."

"You're sorry, what? That you went to Ralphs. You took a [expletive] copy of my card here while you said you were going to get receipt paper," the woman added.

"You know what you did, right? Before I [expletive] press charges and everything on you," she said.

"I'm sorry ma'am. I'm so sorry," the girl replies.

"So, what are you sorry about? That you took [expletive] money from me and my kids? What are you sorry about?" the woman asks.

"I'm sorry that I took money from you and your kids. I'm sorry that you had to come up here. I'm sorry that this is inconvenient for you," the girl said, adding: "I'm so sorry, ma'am. I'm so sorry. I am a good child. I swear. I really do go to school. I'm 19."

The cashier pleads with the woman not to press charges and goes on to offer the woman $250.

The woman said in the clip that she has filed a police report and has informed the corporate offices of Starbucks.

Sheriff's Lt. Eric Lindblom told CBS Los Angeles a report has been taken and the case has been assigned to a detective to investigate.

The profanity-laced video was uploaded to YouTube a day ago and has been viewed more than 700,000 times.
