Van Nuys Boulevard Resurfacing To Close 101 Freeway Ramps This Weekend

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — A stretch of Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks will be resurfaced this weekend, meaning freeway ramp closures and potential traffic delays for motorists.

Van Nuys Boulevard ramps to and from the Ventura (101) Freeway will be closed for much of the weekend to accommodate the $700,000 "Van Nuys Boulevard Street Lift," which will resurface the street between Ventura and Magnolia boulevards.

The upgrade will include new lane striping, repainted curbs and cleanup of sidewalks, officials said. Caltrans also plans to take advantage of the ramp closures to conduct its own freeway maintenance.

The last time this stretch of Van Nuys was resurfaced was in 1998.
