V. Stiviano To Become Foster Mother To 2 Boys
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — V. Stiviano, the woman at the center of the Donald Sterling scandal, will become the foster mother to two special needs boys.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services approved her guardianship request for a 12-year-old and 13-year-old boy.
A statement from Stiviano's attorney, Mac Nehoray, said, in part, "Last Friday, the Department of Children and Family Services approved her home as being suitable for the two boys."
The 31-year-old has reportedly known the children for three years, according to Nehoray, who added that the kids have been in the foster system for seven years.
Susan Tucker, who works with the DCFS, said the department can't discuss clients due to confidentiality reasons. She did, however, mention that anyone who fosters a child goes through an extensive program, including a criminal background check.
According to TMZ, Stiviano has a criminal past, ranging from theft to burglary.
"You know, we do have some laws we have to follow, but it doesn't automatically disqualify you," Tucker said.
Meantime, KCAL9's Brittney Hopper reported that there are reports the Los Angeles district attorney's office is investigating Stiviano for alleged extortion involving Sterling.
Last week, the NBA fined him $2.5 million and banned him from any association with the Clippers and the league over racist remarks he made during a recorded conversation with Stiviano.
