'Wizarding World Of Harry Potter' Opens At Universal Studios Hollywood
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com/AP) — A big crowd has turned out at Universal Studios Hollywood for the opening of its new Harry Potter-themed attraction.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened before dawn Thursday and even the rain couldn't keep fans away.
It includes an immersive 3-D ride called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, along with an outdoor family coaster, Flight of the Hippogriff.
"It just brings the magic alive," said Stephanya Jonas, a visitor. "It's just a childhood dream come true."
She and her boyfriend drove down from the Bay area.
The Wizarding World also features depictions of Hogwarts castle and the village of Hogsmeade, both central backdrops for the "Harry Potter" book and movie series.
