Ultimate Disney Fan Event Held At Convention Center In Anaheim
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Thousands of fans attended a Disney event in Anaheim on Friday.
At 10 a.m., the D3 Expo for D23: The Official Disney Fan Club opened to the public, located at the convention center.
Fans received a sneak peak at upcoming films and previewed new features of Disney Parks.
Visitors were also able to view archive exhibitions and performances along with making purchases at a Disney collectibles "dream store."
Castmembers from the Disney channel, Disney XD and the company's movies were on site signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.
Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger hosted the Disney Legends Awards being held at D23 Hall. The event honors the talented men and women who have made significant contributions to the company's legacy.
George Lucas, Susan Lucci and Danny Elfman were honored at the event.
The D23 expo will be held daily through Sunday.
