UCLA's Jim Mora, Jeff Ulbrich Get Into Heated Exchange During Oregon Game

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- UCLA coach Jim Mora and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich got into a heated exchange on the Rose Bowl sideline during the first half of the No. 18 Bruins' game against 12th-ranked Oregon on Saturday.

Ulbrich removed his headset and handed what appeared to be his play sheet to Mora during a vehement conversation after Oregon scored its second touchdown.

While their players looked on uncomfortably, Mora ended the exchange by grabbing Ulbrich's face with both hands for several pointed words. Both coaches eventually went back to work.

Mora is a longtime NFL defensive coach. He was the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator when Ulbrich broke into the league as a linebacker in 2000.

Ulbrich is in his first season as the Bruins' defensive coordinator.

Oregon led 21-10 at halftime.
