Two men stabbed in Hollywood, suspect on the loose

Two men who were trying to help a woman were stabbed in Hollywood on Halloween evening and taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The stabbing was reported at 10:05 p.m. Monday and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division responded to Hollywood Boulevard and Whitley Avenue where they found the victims, LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said.

According to police, the two good Samaritans were trying to help a woman after they witnessed the suspect strike her. The suspect and two men got into an altercation and that's when he stabbed the men in the torso.

The suspect, described as a 25-30-year-old man, ran from the scene, Lopez said. He was wearing a black windbreaker and dark jeans. He is currently at large.

The victims are in stable condition at the hospital and expected to survive, LAPD added.
