2 men shot and killed at South Los Angeles smoke shop
Two men were shot and killed at a smoke shop in South Los Angeles Tuesday night, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call just before 10 p.m. about a shooting at the store located in the 8600 block of Figueroa Street, where they found two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victims, who were 39 and 28, were not conscious or breathing when officers arrived, police said. First responders with the Los Angeles Fire Department later pronounced them dead at the scene.
They were inside the shop near South LA's Westmont neighborhood when the suspects entered and opened fire, shooting multiple rounds, LAPD said.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, according to LAPD, and remained at large the following day.
No description of the suspects or any other details have been released by police.
LAPD initially described the victims as believed to be between 20 to 25 years old.
