Two Injured In Crash Near Malibu Tunnel

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — A crash near the Malibu tunnel sent two people to area hospitals early Saturday morning.

A vehicle overturned on Malibu Canyon Road, just south of Piuma Road, at 1:15 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol officer Tony Polizzi.

Both patients were airlifted from the scene, according to Michael Pittman, a supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, who did not know their conditions.

Polizzi said the CHP is planning to further question at least one of the people in the vehicle.
