2 Armed Suspects Fatally Shoot Woman, Critically Injure Man At Lennox Park

LENNOX (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives investigated a shooting on Wednesday that claimed the life of a woman and critically injured a man.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were sent to the 10800 block of South Condon Avenue for report of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body and a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

Paramedics transported the victims to a hospital for medical treatment.

Hospital officials pronounced the woman dead upon her arrival. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.

At this time, the man remains listed in critical condition.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victims were sitting on a park bench when they were approached by an unknown adult man.

After an argument ensued, the victims got up from the bench and walked away from the suspect.

According to police, the victims were then approached by a second unknown adult man.

Both suspects produced firearms and opened fire at the man and woman.

Detectives said the suspects were seen entering a white four-door compact vehicle and a green mini-van. They fled eastbound on Lennox Boulevard away from the scene.

The suspects have been described as two men of Pacific Islander descent.

The relationship between the victims remains unclear at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
