Transient Charged In Attack On 'NCIS' Star Pauley Perrette

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A transient was charged Monday in the attack of "NCIS" star Pauley Perrette outside her Hollywood Hills home.

David Merck, 45, is scheduled to face a judge Monday on felony charges of making a criminal threat and false imprisonment by violence after the attack on Perrette, Los Angeles County District Attorney's officials said.

Prosecutors will ask that bail for Merck to be set at $60,000.

Merck was arrested about an hour after the alleged attack at about 5 p.m. Thursday, as the actress walked to a guest house to meet her architect. He grabbed her, punched her and threatened to kill her before running off, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

If convicted as charged, Merck faces up to four years in state prison.
