Toddler Dies Days After San Bernardino Hit-And-Run

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — A 2-year-old girl has died from injuries she suffered in a hit-and-run over the weekend in San Bernardino.

Asianae Thomas was taken off life support at Loma Linda University Medical Center Friday evening, family members confirmed.

Thomas was hit by a truck around 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of N. Mountain View as she was playing outside a relative's home.

The suspect fled the scene following the collision.

Thomas was transported to the hospital.

Detectives have discovered a vehicle of interest, a dark-colored, flatbed truck, in connection to the crash.

A photo of the truck, which was taken off a security camera at a local convenience store, was released to the public on Wednesday.
