The Rolling Stones Return To Rose Bowl For First Time In 25 Years
PASADENA (CBSLA) — The Rolling Stones returned to the Rose Bowl Thursday night for the first time in 25 years, and they brought with them a surprise guest — Robert Downey Jr.
The actor took the stage to announce that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration named a rock on Mars after the band. The scientists from NASA's Pasadena-based Jet Propulsion Laboratory dubbed a rock the "Rolling Stone Rock" after it rolled about three feet as the result of the InSight mission's landing.

As for the concert, the Stones did not disappoint. The bad was originally scheduled to perform back in May, but the concert was postponed after frontman Mick Jagger underwent heart surgery, but the 76-year-old rocker hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.
The sold-out show was the first Rolling Stones concert Bob Vasilva was able to attend. He said he has traveled the world trying to see the band perform, and, four attempts later, he finally got some satisfaction.
"We love the Stones," he said. "It was my first album I ever bought when I was a kid. They are a fantastic band. Nobody compares to them."
The last time the Stones played at the Rose Bowl was for the Voodoo Lounge tour in 1994.
The concert ended shortly after 11 p.m.
