Teen, Adult Duo Accused Of Murdering Man They Claim Tried To Kidnap Them
GARDENA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have arrested a man and woman and a teen who they say murdered a man the trio claimed tried to kidnap them.
Officials have since said the kidnap claim was bogus.
Gardena Police have arrested Jennifer Nichols, 36, and Alejandro Terrazas, 23, for the murder of Bradley Hayes of Hesperia.
A 15-year-old was also held for the murder.
The 34-year-old victim and the suspects are acquaintances, police said. The exact nature of their relationship was not disclosed.
Nichols and Terrazas -- both Hawthorne residents -- are expected to be in court next week.
Police said they got a call from one of the suspects telling them that Hayes attempted to kidnap them but they were able to knock him out.
Hayes was later found dead by paramedics.
