Taylor Swift Reveals Her Mother's Cancer Diagnosis In Tumblr Post
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Singer Taylor Swift says her mother has cancer.
In a note to fans on her Tumblr page, Swift said she asked her mom to get screened for health issues at Christmastime and those tests revealed the diagnosis.
Swift said prior to her mother getting checked, there were no red flags.
"There were no red flags and she felt perfectly fine, but she did it just to get me and my brother off her case about it," Swift wrote.
Swift said her mother wanted her to share the information with fans to serve as a reminder to get checked.
Swift did not reveal what form of cancer her mother has, stating: "I'd like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private."
