Tanker Truck Crash Closes 605 Freeway In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A tanker truck carrying gasoline overturned on the southbound 605 Freeway near the Carson Street interchange Tuesday night, closing the road for what is expected to be several hours.

Stu Mundel in Sky9 said gasoline was leaking out of the tanker after the crash that occurred around 9:45 p.m. The California Highway Patrol expected the freeway to be closed until 2 a.m.

Los Angeles County firefighters were on the scene, and there was a report of one person being injured.
