Police: Package On LAX Tarmac Deemed Safe
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The bomb squad Wednesday was sent to Los Angeles International Airport after a suspicious package was discovered on the tarmac.
The package was found outside the airport at 11:25 a.m. near Gate 26 at Terminal 2, LAX police said.
A perimeter was established as the LAPD and the bomb squad responded.
Authorities later determined the package was not a threat.
