Suspicious Package Closes Road Near Palm Springs Airport
PALM SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — A suspicious package was found near the Palm Springs International Airport, causing the closure of a nearby road.
Vista Chino was closed for about 3 hours between Whitewater Club Drive and Farrell Drive.
Flights were not impacted.
The Palm Springs Police Department first arrived at the scene around 10:20 a.m.
At around 1:30 p.m., authorities determined the package was safe.
The package ended up being a wrapped and sealed cooler filled with various food products.
