"Suspicious items" found in unattended bag prompts evacuations at LAX

An unattended bag with "suspicious items" prompted evacuations at the Los Angeles International Airport Monday morning.

Officers were called to the area around 10 a.m. when a man left his bag at Terminal 3.

The police activity impacted traffic at the upper level into the Central Terminal area as crews investigated the scene, according to the LA Airport Police Department.

The incident was cleared around 11 a.m. and normal operations at LAX resumed, according to officials.
