Suspects Wanted In Mid-City Home Fumigation Burglary

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — SWAT and a hazmat team searched a tented mid-city home overnight looking for possible burglary suspects.

A burglar alarm went off at the home tented for insects around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of S. Crescent Heights Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Authorities said someone cut the tent and broke in through a window.

SWAT had to go inside the residence to see if the burglars escaped, or if they had passed out somewhere in the home.

"SWAT has their own self-containing breathing apparatus, so they actually went in and cleared the location," Sgt. John Barkley said.

No suspects were found inside.

Police have yet to determine if anything was stolen.
