Man Killed, 2 Others Hospitalized After Being Shot In South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police on Thursday investigated the circumstances surrounding a shooting that killed a man and wounded two others in a residential neighborhood.

Around 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were sent to the 500 block of West 94th at Figueroa streets for report of a shooting victim, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located three male victims believed to be between the ages of 30 to 50-years-old.

Paramedics pronounced one of the men dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

The two other victims were transported to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. One man has been listed in stable condition. The condition of the other man remains unknown at this time.

According to police, the suspect fled northbound from the scene in an unknown vehicle onto Figueroa Street.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available, detectives said.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
