Street Closures Planned During Obama's Southland Visit
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — President Barack Obama's visit to the Southland has prompted traffic advisories from local authorities.
The president arrived on Air Force One Thursday afternoon for an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and attended a Democratic National Committee fundraiser.
He will stay overnight and depart Friday for Phoenix, officials said.
The following areas should be avoided when possible Friday:
- The area around W. Pico Bl between Avenue of the Stars & Westwood Bl from 6 a.m.-8 a.m.
- The area around Overland Ave between W. Olympic Bl & National Bl from 6 a.m.-8 a.m.
- The area around S. Centinela Ave between Pico Bl & Ocean Park Bl from 6 a.m.-8 a.m.
