Storefront Of Iconic Tower Records To Be Revived Ahead Of Release Of Film, Report Says
WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — For just one night, motorists driving down Sunset Boulevard will be able to see a glimpse of what was once one of the nation's biggest retail outlets, according to 93.1 Jack FM.
The radio station reports that the storefront of the Tower Records building in West Hollywood will return Thursday, for one night, ahead of this week's premiere of a documentary.
"All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records" is directed by Colin Hanks and will be in theaters Friday.
It's true to its title by exploring the rise and fall of Tower Records.
Faced with being torn down last year, the radio station reported that the building was saved by Gibson Guitars.
Gibson Guitars, along with filmmakers, are reportedly working together to reconstruct the building's exterior for the event.
