'Street Outlaws' Star Facing Murder Charges In Chatsworth Street Racing Crash

CHATSWORTH (CBSLA.com) — More information is being released about one of the men charged with murder in last week's illegal street racing crash that killed two people in Chatsworth.

HotRod.com is reporting that Irael "Izzy" Valenzuela has been charged for his alleged role in Thursday's collision.

Valenzuela has appeared as a driver in the popular Discovery Channel street racing show "Street Outlaws."

Employees at Valenzuela's auto performance shop in Gardena told CBS2/KCAL9's Bobby Kaple they had nothing to say about the incident.

Both Valenzuela and Henry Gevorgyan have been charged with two counts of murder, to which they've entered "not guilty" pleas. They're each being held on $2 million bail.

Police say at least 60 people were watching the drag race when, just after 2 a.m., the modified 2014 Ford Mustang lost control and careened into the crowd.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office says they do not believe either Valenzuela or Gevorgyan were driving the Mustang.
