Special Needs Network To Host 9th Annual Tools For Transformation Conference In SoCal

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Areva Martin stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to discuss the 9th annual Tools for Transformation Conference presented by the Special Needs Network.

April is National autism awareness month. During this time, advocates acknowledge the thousands who live with autism around the country.

Martin, who is a Special Needs Network advocate, explained the conference will focus on issues related to autism, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities ADHD and mental health.

Activities will include book signings with guest authors, a networking luncheon, an awards presentation and an advanced advocates summit.

Martin added the event is the largest free autism disability rights conference in Southern California. Previous years have attracted more than 1,500 participants in over two days.
