Son Accidentally Kills Father, 86, With Car In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — Police say a 46-year-old man accidentally killed his 86-year-old father while trying to pick him up for a medical appointment in San Bernardino.

Police Detective Kevin Jeffery said in a statement that Alvis Prince Jr. was driving to pick up father A.C. Prince in the parking lot of an apartment complex for a dialysis appointment when the senior prince started walking toward the car, lost his balance and fell to the ground.

The younger Prince was unable to stop the car and ran over his father, who died at a hospital soon after.

Jeffery says there were no signs the son was intoxicated or otherwise impaired, and it appears to be an unfortunate accident.
