Group of smash-and-grab robbers hit Santa Anita Mall

The Shops at Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia was hit by a group of smash-and-grab robbers on Sunday.

The incident was reported around 1 p.m. at the shopping center, which is located in the 400 block of S. Baldwin Avenue, according to the Arcadia Police Department.

Officers were dispatched after learning that at least four suspects had entered the Rebag store and used hammers to smash open several glass display cases.

They then stole "numerous purses and watches" before fleeing the scene, police said.

All of the suspects are said to have been wearing blue hoodies, masks and sweatpants that fled from the shopping center in a white Infiniti sedan.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

At around 3:15 p.m., police said that normal traffic was able to return to the area despite their ongoing investigation.
