Demonstrators take over first floor of CSULA building

Demonstrators allegedly vandalize building during protest at Cal State LA

Protesters at California State University, Los Angeles took over a student services building on Wednesday. 

Demonstrators took over the first floor of the building, according to a university spokesperson. The administration described the demonstration as "unauthorized" and advised people in the student services building to shelter in place. Graffiti appeared to be on the windows surrounding the first floor.

Officials advised everyone not in the building to leave campus.

The university's website says the president's office is in the student services building.

A university spokesperson said the administration does not have an imminent plan to stop the protest.
