Small Brush Fire Closes Highway 74 In Both Directions
LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — A small brush fire in Lake Elsinore has Highway 74, Ortega Highway, closed in both directions, according to officials.
Ortega Highway is closed from South Main Divide to Grand Avenue until further notice.
The fire was first reported around 7:15 p.m.
The blaze is only 2 acres but is burning in very heavy brush in the El Cartso area, according to Cal Fire.
One structure is threatened.
Authorities said the fire moving at moderate speed has potential to burn a couple of hundred acres.
