Sinkhole Closes Major Roadway In La Habra

LA HABRA (CBSLA.com) – A sinkhole caused by a broken water main shut down a major roadway in La Habra Thursday evening.
The sinkhole was reported before 6:30 p.m. at Euclid Street and East Montwood Avenue, according to La Habra police. The water was shut off.
Euclid Street was closed in both directions from Imperial Highway to Sandalwood Avenue. Motorists were advised to avoid the area. City crews were on scene.
No further details were confirmed. There was no estimate on when the road would reopen.
