Singer Ray J Pleads No Contest To Bar Scuffle In Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Singer Ray J has pleaded no contest Thursday to a charge in connection with an incident at a Beverly Hills bar, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
Ray J, whose legal name is Willie Ray Norwood Jr., pleaded to one count of misdemeanor trespassing in this case. The 33-year-old singer was sentenced to three years summary probation and 50 hours of community service. He was also ordered to attend alcohol therapy and anger management classes.
Judge Edward Moreton also ordered the singer to stay away from the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel and to pay any restitution, which will be determined at a Dec. 8 hearing.
Ray J is the brother of the singer Brandy and the former boyfriend of Kim Kardashian.
Ray J was arrested May 30 after refusing to leave the hotel bar for groping a woman, Deputy District Attorney Candice Jan said. While in police custody, he also broke a patrol car window.
