Shotgun Recovered In Highland Following Reported Road Rage Incident

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com)  —   Authorities said they recovered a sawed-off shotgun following an alleged road rage incident in Highland Friday.

Around 4:30 p.m., officials responded to the scene of4th Street and Del Rosa following reports of a verbal argument that culminated in two vehicle colliding in a road rage confrontation.

The alleged victim told a deputy that the other driver followed him after the argument and pointed a sawed-off shotgun at him.

Deputies located the suspect's vehicle during a traffic stop and also reportedly recovered the 20-gauge weapon.

The suspect was later identified as 46-year-old Jose Barajas of San Bernardino.  He was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center.
