Shooting involving LAPD officers in Reseda leaves 1 hospitalized

A man died Thursday after a shooting involving the Los Angeles Police Department in Reseda.

The shooting occurred near the 7900 block of Reseda Boulevard in Reseda, according to the LAPD. The incident initially started at about 4:45 a.m. when officers went to serve a warrant in a robbery investigation. 

About 5 a.m., the wanted man jumped from a third-floor balcony, allegedly armed with a rifle, and was shot by police, the LAPD reported. A SWAT team was called in and barricade was put up in the neighborhood. 

The person shot was taken to the hospital where he died. His identity has not been released. No officers were injured.
