Sheriff Announces Arrest Of 3 For Having Huge Weapons Cache

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's Deputies have announced the arrest of three men in Littlerock for weapons possession.

In addition, authorities said the men owned white supremacist paraphernalia.

Officials said on Tuesday, January 4, around 5 a.m., LA County Sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), Palmdale Station Detectives and Partners Against Crime served a high-risk search warrant on a residence in the 10000 block of East Avenue S-4 in Littlerock.

Authorities said they were first alerted to the case when a storage unit in the city of Palmdale was burglarized, resulting in the theft of four guns about three weeks ago.

Deputies recovered several reported stolen guns and discovered an underground bunker which included a 25 yard shooting range in an "out building" behind the primary location. Furthermore, deputies recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition which included six pistols, 11 rifles, a WWII machine gun, more than 1,000 rounds of ammo, 150 magazines, 50 high-capacity magazines and several items espousing white supremacy.

Authorities identified the three suspects as 54 year-old Todd Hunt, 33 year-old Royce Gresham and 62 year-old Larry Finnell. All of the men are Littlerock residents.

All three suspects were transported and booked at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station.

Hunt was booked on charges of possession of an assault weapon with a bail amount of $35,000. Gresham was charged as a felon in possession of a firearm with a bail amount of $35,000. Finnell was also booked as a felon in possession of a firearm with a bail amount of $35,000.
