Several Items Sold At Costco Now Subject Of Voluntary Recall Over Listeria Concerns

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A company is issuing a voluntary recall of several items due to potential contamination with listeria.

The voluntary recall by Ajinomoto Windsor Inc. is conjunction with the FDA.

The recall includes the following products: Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice, Petite Cuisine Southwest Chicken Firecrackers, and the Petite Cuisine Chicken Poblano Firecracker.

The items have "best by" dates from May 1, 2016 through May 7, 2017.

"Out of an abundance of caution, Ajinomoto Windsor is voluntarily recalling these items which may contain frozen vegetables it received from CRF Frozen Foods that are part of the recent national CRF Frozen Foods recall," the company indicated in a letter to Costco members.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with these products.

Those who purchased the items were asked to return them to Costco for a full refund.
