Police: Gunman Arrested In Connection With Deadly Shooting In Corona

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — A gunman was arrested on Friday following a deadly shooting inside a home in Corona.

According to the Corona Police Department, the suspect was arrested shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Derby Street.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect.

The incident unfolded shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, when officers were sent to a home located in the 1000 block of Winthrop Drive for report of a male not breathing.

Upon their arrival, authorities located three men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced two of the men dead at the scene. Their identities are being withheld pending family notification.

A third victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

At this time, the relationship between the suspect and victims has not been clarified.

According to neighbors, a man shot his father and uncle along with an ADT Security repairman who was working inside of the home. Police have not confirmed this, however.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
