Seal Beach Bank Robber Could Be Behind Heists In Laguna Beach, Torrance

SEAL BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police say a man who robbed a Chase Bank in Seal Beach Thursday may be the same man behind recent heists in Laguna Beach and Torrance.

A bank robbery was reported at Chase Bank at 801 Pacific Coast Highway just before 4 p.m. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled on foot, in an unknown direction.

He was described as a white man, about 6'3", with a thin build, a black or gray top, dark jeans and wearing a black ski mask. The robber was armed with a silver, long-barreled handgun or revolver.

The Seal Beach suspect's description was similar to those given in recent bank robberies in Laguna Beach and Torrance.

Anyone with information about the robberies or the suspect can contact Seal Beach Police Detective Pete Krok at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1110.
