Santa Monica's Ban On Electronic Cigarettes Goes Into Effect
SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — The ban on electronic cigarettes in Santa Monica goes into effect Thursday.
E-cigs will now be banned in all non-smoking areas in the city, which includes the Santa Monica Pier, beaches and the Third Street Promenade.
The city council unanimously approved the ban, which also prohibits the sale of e-cigs to minors, in October.
Santa Monica now joins the cities of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills in banning public e-cigarette use.
