FOUNTAIN VALLEY (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities are looking for two hit-and-run drivers who fatally struck a man in Fountain Valley.

Police said Theodore Antolin was crossing a divided highway in the 17100 block of Brookhurst Street, around 3:15 a.m. when he was struck by the two vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Steve DeSantis said Antolin was crossing the street outside a crosswalk when he was hit by a silver SUV headed south on Brookhurst.

The SUV driver did not stop. Moments later, a white sedan also heading south on Brookhurst, struck Antolin a second time while he was laying on the road. The second driver also failed to stop and render aid, DeSantis said.

Paramedics transported Antolin to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to DeSantis.
