San Diego Fans Heated Over Chargers' Possible Move To LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of Chargers fans gathered in downtown San Diego on Wednesday night to sound off on the plan to move the team from San Diego to Los Angeles.

The NFL hosted the forum in San Diego as part of its standard procedure when deciding whether or not a team should be allowed to move cities.

When the NFL introduced Chargers Special Counsel Mark Fabiani, he was almost booed off of the stage.

NFL representatives onstage also got an earful from concerned fans.

"I believe you should be ashamed of yourselves," one fan said to the representatives.

The Chargers are not the only team with their eye on Los Angeles, however, as Tuesday there was a similar forum held in St. Louis regarding the Rams' possible relocation.

The Raiders will host a forum of their own Thursday night in Oakland, also regarding the team's possible move to Los Angeles.

The town hall was held at the Spreckels Theater in downtown San Diego and is the latest in a series of public hearings by the NFL this month – including hearings in Oakland and St. Louis – as the league looks into potentially relocating a franchise or two to Los Angeles.
