San Bernardino Police Investigate Early-Morning Fatal Stabbing

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com)   — The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that happened early Saturday.

Officials responded to a call around 4:35 a.m. at 2630 W. 6th Street regarding a subject who was injured in the middle of the street.

Medical aid responded and the victim, Michael Reyes, was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he was treated for multiple stab wounds. Police said Reyes died several hours later.

Witnesses said they heard a commotion in the street and saw the victim involved in an altercation with two subjects. The subjects fled the area prior to the arrival of police and fire.

The motive for this crime is still under investigation.
