San Bernardino Man Arrested In Alleged Fatal Shooting Of Brother
SAN DIEGO (CBSLA.com) — A 43-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his younger brother in the Allied Gardens community was arrested on Sunday.
According to the San Diego Police Department, officers were sent around 10:00 p.m. Saturday to the 6400 block of Clara Lee Avenue for reports of gunshots fired.
Once on scene, police located Cedric O'Neal Paris, of San Diego, lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect accused in the shooting was a black man who stands 5-foot-10 tall, weighs 200 pounds, and was seen driving an SUV from the area.
A few minutes after the shooting occurred, police conducted a vehicle stop on an SUV in the area of Scripps Poway Parkway, which matched the suspect vehicle description.
The victim's brother, Jason Douglas Paris, of San Bernardino County, was driving the vehicle, and was questioned by homicide investigators.
He was subsequently charged with one count of murder, and was booked into county jail.
Jason Paris is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
