Robbers Take $850 Worth Of Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards At Knifepoint

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — The public's help is needed to find three men who took hundreds of dollars' worth of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at knifepoint.

Police say two men were parked at Clara Barton Park in the 800 block of South Agate Street on Jan. 25 about 11:45 p.m. , when a car drove up and blocked them in. Two men jumped out of the car as a female driver stayed inside with the engine running, police said.

The two men walked up to the blocked-in car and brandished a 6-inch blade, ordering the men out of the car, police said. Police say the two victims and the car were searched, and a school backpack containing nearly 1,000 Yu-Gi-Oh! cards valued at $850 was taken.

Police said the three suspects sold the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at a memorabilia shop in Anaheim two days later. The cards have since been recovered.

Police say the three suspects were in a car described as an early 90s green Honda 4-door sedan. All three suspects were described as Hispanic between 20 and 25 years old.

The first suspect was described as a man with a large build, between 6 feet tall and 6-foot-2, between 220 and 250 pounds and wearing black prescription glasses. The second suspect was a man about 5-foot-10, 150 to 165 pounds with black hair and a shirt that reads "UEI." The third suspect was a woman between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7, 120 to 140 pounds with "bright red" hair at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the suspects' identity can call Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
