LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Shelly Sterling's legal team has hired Bank of America to assist in the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers, a source familiar with the situation confirmed to CBS2 and KCAL9.
Tuesday marks the deadline for Donald Sterling to respond to the charges levied against him by the NBA.
The league says he damaged the NBA's image and its teams with his racist rant that was recorded by V. Stivanio and released publically.

The NBA also claims Sterling attempted to cover up the scandal by having Stiviano lie.
Team owners will vote on June 3 whether to terminate the 80-year-old's ownership of the Clippers.
On Monday, ESPN.com and TMZ reported Shelly Sterling met with former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer about the sale.
Ballmer, who lives in the Seattle area, was part of a failed effort last year to move the Sacramento Kings to his home city, which hasn't had an NBA team since the Supersonics in 2008.
League officials have signaled they will not let Shelly Sterling sell the Clippers on her own terms.
