Report: Grandson Of Late Crystal Cathedral Founder Seriously Hurt In Car Crash
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — The Orange County Register is reporting the grandson of Crystal Cathedral founder Robert H. Schuller was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash on the 55 Freeway.
Timothy Milner, 22, of Orange, was hurt alongside his fiance who was also injured.
He was reportedly driving a white compact, two-seat Smart Car around 10:45 p.m. with his fiancee Breeann Parsons, 23, northbound on the freeway when the car stopped in the slow lane.
While the couple was waiting for tow service, a Honda Accord crashed into the back of Milner's car, according to CHP Officer Denise Quesada.
CHP officers and Orange County Fire Department paramedics arrived to find the couple unconscious inside the locked vehicle and authorities had to break a window in order to treat them, Quesada said.
Carol Schuller-Milner, Milner's mother and Schuller's daughter, confirmed to the Register that Milner is the late religious leader's grandson.
Milner was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana and Parsons was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange. Both were treated as trauma patients with serious injuries, OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi said.
Officials said the driver of the Accord had minor injuries and treated at a hospital. There was no indication that alcohol contributed to the crash, according to the CHP.
