'Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' Star Charged With Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Reality TV star Kim Richards was charged Wednesday following her removal from a Beverly Hills hotel.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Kim Erica Richards faces one misdemeanor count each of public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer.

On April 16, Richards was removed from The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel around 1:30 a.m., after she allegedly refused to leave.

Police said hotel security had reported the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member was intoxicated and caused a disturbance.

After being transported to the station for booking, Richards allegedly kicked an officer in the leg.

Richards is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. If convicted, she faces a possible maximum sentence of two years and six months in prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
