Rapper Nipsey Hussle Killed In Shooting Outside Of His LA Clothing Store
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - Rapper Nipsey Hussle has been pronounced dead and two others wounded following a shooting in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon.
The rapper was gunned down outside of his clothing store, The Marathon Clothing, in the Hyde Park neighborhood, south of the Crenshaw area.
LAPD reported a shooting at 3:20 p.m. in the area of Slauson Ave. and Crenshaw Blvd., where three people were shot and transported to the hospital.
Hussle, 33, was later pronounced dead and the other two victims were reported to be in stable condition.
It was reported that he was shot six times.
The LAPD South Bureau Homicide is conducting an investigation to locate the suspect who has only been described as a black male.
Fans of Hussle's were seen gathering at the scene of the crime throughout Sunday to pay their respects.
The rapper, born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was a father of two and had recently been nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
Just a short time before the shooting, Nipsey tweeted out, "Having strong enemies is a blessing."
